Historical Atlas of the 20th Century - users.erols.com/mwhite28/20centry.htm.
Created by Matthew White, this site is a wealth of statistical information on the governments and atrocities of the 20th century. I used this with my high school history students to help them become more aware of the rise of democracy, and the existence of genocide, not just in WWII, but in other places throughout the 20th century. users.erols.com/mwhite28/index.htm
Stossel in the Classroom - stosselintheclassroom.org/
You may be familiar with John Stossel's thought provoking stories and commentary. This site is primarily for teachers - however in this day when the parents are increasingly taking on that role, this site provides some pretty good resources - especially when it comes to economics.
Izzit.org - www.izzit.org/ Good resource for economic and political studies. They offered discussion activities for current political situations as well as videos about economics. They emphasize entrepreneurship and freedom. The resources I have from them were for grades 4 through 12.

Why This page?
The purpose of this "Places Worth Checking Out" page is to provide links to sources of information that are more moderate or conservative and which may be subject to censorship in our current climate. They may or may not fall subject to the current cancel culture. This is not an endorsement of any of the sites listed, but a way of keeping the door open so that visitors to this site can see a wide range of views and not only those of the progressives who are currently restricting free speech.
The Epoch Times - Produces both a digital and physical newspaper very rich in information not always seen on the Legacy media. True investigative journalism is happening here. They also produce news programs that are thoughtful and well-researched.
www.theepochtimes.com/ Programs associated with The Epoch Times and currently available on YouTube include Crossroads with Joshua Phillipp. China in Focus, a production of NTD News, has done a fair amount of collaborating with Joshua and the folks at The Epoch Times and is well worth watching.
NTD News (New Tang Dynasty) produces China in Focus and NTD News America (also on cable). Their reporting has become increasingly relevant to Americans in recent times as they share information often silenced by the mainstream media. www.ntd.com/. The Daily Wire - www.dailywire.com/ The Daily Wire offers news, a variety of talk shows/pod casts that focus on commentary about current events, and are building their own entertainment media in an effort to reach out culturally and counter the negative ways conservative people and ideas have been portrayed in popular news and film.
